Wow! 10 pages of scintillating bike rack discussion. It is enough to make one ask if this site has been taken over by the paranormal. Naaa, never happen, right?

Kind of like reading posts by Lacook. Stop polluting otherwise good threads with garbage that has nothing to do with the thread.

Gary has a way to get under your skin without breaking any rules on here. :smt021

Maybe if he got RID of the...

Good thoughts, Turtle. This was a bike rack thread until Private Sundancer and the witch drove the bus into the ditch. It has all the hallmarks of trolling by them; starting some crap in an otherwise innocuous post with the knowlege and intent to stir things up.

If Private Sundancer wants to complain about his mistreatment in the pig post, then I would suggest a new thread should be started in the holding tank (this is the same place where the $hit goes on your boat) entitled something to the effect of: I am Private Sundancer and I Want To Complain About People Who Posted in My Pig Thread.

Then you get your own forum to speak your mind in an appropriate place without hijacking a thread that might provide some value to others.

Why do you need a bike rack...Why not just put in your cockpit until you reach your destination. I would assume 90% of us do that. I have also put my bike in my dinghy that sits on my swim platform. Another option, just rent a bike when you get to your destination......I tried to change the subject, lets see if it worked

Sea Ray announced today at the Toronto Boat Show a "pig rack" option for all 1981-model 260 Sundancers... Will not fit anything after 1982...

WP, I agree with you. How hard is it to put 2 bikes on a boat. :smt021

Denise & I had 2 electric scooters on our 2150 Bayhole with no problems. :smt001

Two Peas, Thats funny. :smt043

We take a mountain bike tandem on our boat (mountain bike rather than road because many of the islands we ride on have limited pavement). Used to have a 1987 230 Weekender, then 2006 225 Weekender, and just purchased a 2010 240 Sundancer. (The bike was custom painted to match the 230 Weekender, but that boat suffered a premature failure in a 2008 highway accident through the fault of the semi-truck that could not keeps its parts from falling off.) I use a fork mount that gets mounted on a platform that fits in the stern of the cockpit. The 230 had a platform that was sized to fit with padded braces so it stayed stationary sitting on the floor. The 225 WE had a fork mount on a bracket that fit the top of the engine compartment. It was braced in the slots for the two seats that sit on either side of the engine box. The 240 DA will have a fork mount on a board that replaces the removable rear seat cushion. Never had to drill a hole or in any way alter the boat. The bike has traveled some fairly rough waters in Northern Lake Michigan and Northern Lake Huron and always remained stable and secure.

Todd, do you have pictures?

Rick, I'm with you on this.

I've met Gary face-to-face and he's just a heck of a nice guy. I not only like him as a friend, but I'd like to have him as a neighbor. He may be smarter than me, have a bigger boat than me, and more money than me, but I've always enjoyed his friendship online, in private emails, and face-to-face. He and Susie welcomed Sue, Grant and I aboard their boat (like all of you have done that I have met face-to-face) and we have had a lot of fun together.

Then there are the trolls that you speak of - Grant asks an innocent question: "Can pigs float?" and states he likes bacon - and the trolls attack.

You just gave great advice - stick to the bike thread! If you want to ***** about something, go to the Tiki Bar and start your own thread.

Oh - Turtle - GREAT GOAT PICTURE -ROFLMAO!

Dang, that doesn't work either.

Pat yourself on the back for that, Scott. Good thought.

Typical liberal...

Hey! No hate speech.

Finally! 2011 is the year of the long awaited goat milking contest. Ron, get the sign-up sheet!

Couldn't the colonel fix this private problem like he fixed the sergeant problem? Everyone seems really happy with that solution. Well everyone who counts, that is.

Wait a second. I didn't get a tour of Four Suns. I even showed him my fancy pants Carver @ BIH in '08. I didn't even try to bring a pig aboard Four Suns, post his home address and phone number or anything like that. Huh.

I Was at a friends house today, she boats with me. We talked of what we do in the winter. She had her laptop opened , so I showed her Club Sea Ray. I explained the forums including the Holding Tank with the winter solstice bike parade. Then I showed her this thread and how it went off subject. She said " Are those winter solstice bikers Sea Ray Owners"

I did that?

Wait... in the spirit of "corn", check this out:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timothy_McVeigh

_______

McVeigh was awarded a Bronze Star for his service in the first Gulf War. He also went to Sapper School.[citation needed] He had been a top-scoring gunner with the 25mm cannon of the Bradley Fighting Vehicles used by the U.S. 1st Infantry Division to which he was assigned. He served at Fort Riley, Kansas, before Operation Desert Storm. At Fort Riley, McVeigh completed the Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC). McVeigh later would say that the Army taught him how to switch off his emotions.[7] He had special lifesaving training and may have saved the life of a comrade who had life-threatening shrapnel wounds.[15] McVeigh. McVeigh was also an advocate for the ownership of pot belly pigs as pets and was a member of Club Sea Ray and married a witch which some believe led to his complete meltdown.[16]

TISMP-ROTFLMAO :smt024 :smt043:smt043:smt043

I use to see live pigs taken to market strapped to the back of a bicycle in Korea. They would get the pig passed out on Moklia, (sp) a potent cheap home brewed rice wine. the funny part was some of the sows would let lose to urinate as the biker would be passing a group of folks strolling soaking them in the process.

So I guess if you locate a bike rack, you could solve two things at once a bike rack and a pig carrier.

Hi All,
if you want to take your bike along how would you? is there a bike rack for a boat....how do you do it if you do it at all.... post a pic or 2....

I was at 3 different booths that sold bikes and mounts for bikes today at the Toronto boat show. The bow rail mounting was the only one that they knew of. I think the rail covered with the foam rap that they use on the water pipes to insulate and bungee cords would be the least expensive way to go. If you went to a company that does custom stainless steel fabrication then you can get what you want but it would be pricey.
