No, not the beer silly. I'm talking about buying Budweiser stock. Bill Gates jumped in and bought a ton of it and that caused me to take a look at it. Right now the Bud APAC LTD Shares are sitting at $2.14/share. I bought a couple of hundred shares on a limit order at $2.15/share.

I never did like the beer but if enough people forget about the boycott and start buying it again I could make some money on this. I guess my $400 gamble is worth it.

It's tempting, I bought a bunch of Apple today on the dip adding to what I already have. I still try to follow Buffett's advice and buy what I know. When I deviate from that it usually doesn't work out well for me.

Hopefully AB gets the message and we can all move on.
Regardless, corporate focus on ESG (which AB is a major player) will affect shareholder value.
My portfolio's manager's position is if a publicly owned company is not 100% focused on shareholder value the stock is a higher risk.

That's an Asian brewing stock. Regular old Anheuser Busch (BUD) is doing ok. Took it's hit in May. I think it will be a couple of years before all is forgotten. Lets see what football season brings with regard to marketing.

One of the Bush sons wants the company back and is wanting to return it to the family. Sounds to me as if Gates is betting on that fact.

Ive had AB stock since I was 16. I used to work for them cutting grass in Kingsmill when AB owned and operated the development

I've enjoyed watching their stock this year. If you were to believe what you see in the media, Inbev stock would be trading for pennies at this point. Down 6% for the year? Hardly catastrophic...since all the BL drinkers switched to Busch :):)
