I know our boats have the quick release that will drain the block, but if it gets below freezing at night will it be safe or not if I dont fully winterize it? I am itching to get the boat to the lake in the next week or 2.
Is it safe to unwinterize?

If you get the water out of the block and the risers and elbows after you use it, it should be OK. Your manual will explain the correct way to do this for reguar winterization. Keep in mind some folks only drain their block for winter and don't add any antifreeze at all........in fact your manual probably tells you that antifreeze is optional. Also, be sure you drop your outdrive down as well so the water drains from it.
