Is it "real"....lol

The fact his mother gave birth to a British Citizen on U.S. soil does not make him a citizen. BHO father was a British Citizen, making BHO a Citizen, hence NOT a Natural Born Citizen!

Using that logic...his mother is a US citizen, he was born on US soil...then he is a citizen. I don't know the British rules for citizenship but is it possible he might have dual citizen ship.

This is the code http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode08/usc_sec_08_00001401----000-.html

Here is an explanation of it http://www.usconstitution.net/consttop_citi.html

Pledging allegiance to another nation. He grew up in Kenya, did he not? Holding citizenship in another country, I seem to remember that he had dual citizenship at one point in his life (at least until he was 23 years old). It's all in jest, but one can dream, can he not?
Actually no he didn't.

Except for an improved economy, I can't think of any issue that is more likely to ensure Obama a second term in the white house than this one.

Really????
This guy is a joke. The only time the US is not in peril of his "policies is when he's on vaction". He knows nothing of the military, no business back ground, no foriegn policy, doesn't give squat about public opinion, can't lead his own party, changes white house staff more often than his underwear, has no clue on domestic policy, is arrogant in his ignorance, spends money like a drunk'n sailor, (sorry drunk'n sailors no offence intended). He has led the economy into one of the slowest recoveries in history, kept the mid east in turmoil driving oil prices through the roof, alienated every ally we had, and made a mockery of the blood our soldiers spilled by apologizing for everything our country is great for to the world. Other than that, Yeah he's a shoe in

Just my opinion so fire away. (holdig tank here we come)

Yes. . . and in the face of the turmoil of the country; seemingly the biggest issue of the Republican party is this one.

The CBO ranked the cuts the Republicans pushed through this years budget at -what was that number again?

The Republicans are acting like clowns.

- - - - - - - -

I have said it before and I will say it again. It's about the Economy. It is hard to hold the white house in the face of a bad economy. Conversely, it is hard to lose the white house when the economy is good. Today, the economy is bad but improving. It is too early to judge where it will be next Summer. That's when it counts.

If the Economy is bad. . . all the Republicans have to do is nominate a credible candidate. So far. . .the Republicans are in danger of not doing that.

Oh I absolutely think he is in for a second term :( I think there are that many stupid out there! I'm sure glad he showed us how much he wanted to "get down to business" after showing the Cert by jetting off to Oprah's show! What an AZZ HAT!!

On this I can agree.
Thanks for the well wish on my up coming test. I'm always ready for a good spar and both parties give enough fuel for it. I loved my father-in-law to death and he was the biggest dem/liberal of the pack and not afraid to speak it.

The clintons brought it up, but it was then dropped once the evidence was presented (oh so long ago).

Won't be able to look at the link till later.

As to Clinton starting it - that's fine. Look, it's ok to ask a question. But once the question is answered, to keep asking the same question over and over again when the first answer was both correct and complete is a sign of mental inadequacy.

But Com, why so much money spent to hide it? And why release now? You have to admit, something seems shady about this guy and his entire past!

Yes, but they started the snowball rolling down the hill, and it only takes a little snowball to make an avalanche. Whether they dropped it is pointless, they started it, and here we are.

What did you think of the link? I'm curious whether it's feasible or not.
This is a comment from the link. This is an interestin perspective...

"True, conspiracy theories are always self-affirming. Any evidence that disproves it is part of the conspiracy.

In this case, though, the document does look very su*****ious. Even if there were automatic layering in the PDF compression of a scanned document, as one poster suggests, would those layers leave the doctor's signature and the text printed onto the form in a layer with the larger form while setting into different layers everything to do with the names of Obama's parent More..s, the date, the time, etc.? Automatic layering in pdf creation, if it even happens, would not be so specifically selective.

I went and looked at the original document, too. The layering is for very specific information typed and written onto the document. I've used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator enough to know that this is what I'd expect a doctored document to look like.

If this is doctored, why Obama's minions didn't print out a copy in full color, rescan it as a PDF, and release a pdf without the telltale signs of doctoring, I don't know. Obama has, from the start, done plenty to fan the flames of this controversy by refusing to release mundane documents that shouldn't bother any president to release. Now Obama releases the document, even though it's no more of an advantage for him to do so now than it was a month or a year ago, but it is riddled with su*****ious layering. Either Obama has some inept people working under him or else he is trying to encourage this controversy along.

Given how the economy is going, throwing scraps to the birthers is probably preferable to Obama. As long as he can keep the birther movement alive, he can keep denouncing them as loons in the media. Even if the birthers are right, it makes Obama look like an innocent victim of vicious attacks, and he plays this up to energize his base and win reelection. If this issue takes over, 2012 is no longer about the economy, on which Obama will lose, or about health care, on which Obama will still probably lose, or about Iraq or Afghanistan, which are also losing issues. It's about crazies trying to tear down the first black president with nutty conspiracy theories. Even if the theory is correct, Obama still wins on this issue because most people won't let themselves be convinced just as most birthers, even if the theory is false, won't let themselves be convinced. More and more, I think Obama is intentionally promoting the birther issue so that he actually has a winning issue on his side come next year."

My gut tells me this is just Obama and his handlers playing more games. He has spent too much time and money on this little game for the last several years. If there are signs of a forgery, I suspect it was made that way to keep the flames alive with the "birther" issue or possibly even fan them. This keeps the focus off his policies and on this topic.

By looking at it, I say there appear to be problems with it and I believe it was intentional.

Obama is a horrible leader but he is very smart when it comes to these types of games. I think he has proved his ability to fool and manipulate people several times over. He would not make a mistake like this unless there was another agenda. I have personally never subscribed to the birther thing but it is funny how much effort and money he has spent on this game when all he had to do was release it 2 years ago.

He is trying to keep everyone's eyes off the ball and it seems to be working.

There are plenty of reasons to get rid of him in the next election, I wish people would focus on those things rather than this birth cert. That is excatly what Obama does not want to happen.

Today, the economy is bad but improving.

You may want to check the latest news. I wish it was improving.

U.S. Economic Growth Slows to 1.8% Rate in Quarter

By CATHERINE RAMPELL

The American economy slowed to a crawl in the first quarter, but economists are hopeful that the setback will be temporary.
Total output grew at an annual pace of 1.8 percent from January through March, the Commerce Department said Thursday, after having expanded at an annual rate of 3.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010.
When the year first began, economists had been expecting a much more robust growth rate of about 4 percent, only to be barraged by bad report after bad report as the days wore on. Turmoil in the Middle East set off a jump in oil prices. Winter blizzards shuttered businesses and delayed construction, causing investments in nonresidential structures like office buildings to fall by 21.7 percent compared with an increase of 7.6 percent at the end of 2010. Imports, which are subtracted from output, surged, and military spending sank.
Still, economists expect many of these problems to fade later in the year. Last quarter’s dismal news was, hopefully, “a pause, not a trend,” said Kathy Bostjancic, director for macroeconomic analysis at the Conference Board.
Of these various economic menaces, the most enduring is probably higher commodity prices, which reduce the amount of pocket money that households and businesses have available to spend on other purchases and, in the case of companies, hires. Gasoline prices have shown little sign of falling in recent weeks, and have nearly neutralized the 2011 payroll tax cuts that were intended as a stimulus.
“Consumers are spending more, but it’s getting soaked up in higher gas prices and higher food prices,” the chief economist at RDQ Economics, John Ryding, said. “That’s not leaving nearly as much left over for discretionary spending.”
Declines in government spending will continue to drag on the economy throughout the year, as strapped state and local governments cut back and the federal government tries to cut down on nonmilitary spending. Last quarter’s steep drop in military spending, which tends to be volatile, will probably reverse itself later in the year, economists said.
Wall Street had little reaction to the report, with markets mixed.
The main sources of strength last quarter were an increase of inventories on stockroom shelves and higher business spending on equipment and software. Equipment and software purchases have grown for eight consecutive quarters, and have only recently been accompanied by strong hiring.
At an unprecedented news conference on Wednesday, the Federal Reserve chairman, Ben S. Bernanke, addressed concerns about sluggish growth so far this year.
“Most of the slowdown in the first quarter is viewed by the committee as being transitory,” Mr. Bernanke said, referring to the opinions of the Fed’s Federal Open Market Committee, which sets interest rates. “That being said, we’ve taken our forecast down just a bit, taking into account factors like weaker construction and possibly just a bit less momentum in the economy.”
Other economic reports in recent weeks have been relatively optimistic, including industrial production, corporate earnings and — finally — job growth. The nation’s employers added 216,000 jobs in March, the fastest growth since last spring when the federal government temporarily increased hiring for the decennial census. The job growth last quarter was spread throughout almost every sector.
“The broad set of labor market indicators still look good,” said Andrew Tilton, a senior economist at Goldman Sachs, which is forecasting that the economy will accelerate and expand at a 4 percent annual rate in the second quarter.
Still, given the ground lost during the Great Recession, the economy has a long way to go before its job market and output are back on track and feeling healthy again. There are some fears that the slow growth in the first quarter may weigh on job growth going forward, since employment trends tend to lag what happens in the rest of the economy.
“Payroll growth may have a temporary wobble,” said Ian Shepherdson, chief United States economist at High Frequency Economics. “This is not a fundamental shift in the path of recovery, but maybe a temporary distortion.”
Economists also played down the economic threat to the United States posed by Japan’s deadly earthquake and tsunami in March.
“It only happened at the very end of the quarter, and any disruptions to supply chains would take a few weeks to come through,” said Paul Dales, a senior United States economist at Capital Economics. “If there’s any effect it’ll happen in the second quarter, but the impact should be minimal.”

Interesting speculation on the weakness of the dollar.

I always thought last years 12th hour budget deal was all about economic stimulus to produce a growing economy mid- next year. Deficit be darned!

As to the whole "layers thing". Seriously? Let's talk in another few days. Meanwhil: we can talk about footprints on birth certificates.

Meanwhile: I am waiting for someone to claim that the special treatment Obama got to even get Hawaii to release the document is an impeacable offense!

. . . So congratulations goes to Donald Trump for "making" Obama release the long form of a document that was certified authentic and released three years ago.

And what did he accomplish?

Make the entire Republican party look like a bunch of buffoons just as the Republican party is getting to negotiate on the debt limit?

Or was it getting a Republican house vote on a bill that simultaneously eliminates Medicare while cutting taxes for the "wealthy"? Oh wait. . it was other Republican leaders that handed the democratic party their 2012 campaign platform.

Look. . .I have a pretty low opinion of Democrats. They are setting the bar for excellence so low that the Republicans literally have to DIG to get under it. . .but digging themselves into a hole is what they are doing.
