Is diesel cheaper than gas on Lake Erie?

I am new to the US, and it seems that most are saying that diesel is cheaper than gas at the marina due to road tax. Can anyone tell me if this is the case on Lake Erie (Ohio)?

The answer is "yes" and "no." "Yes" in that diesel sold from marinas should be dyed (offroad) diesel that your marina purchased without paying the federal highway tax; however, it is my understanding that the wholesale price for diesel is approximately $1 more than gas in Ohio (Cleveland) right now. Accordingly, diesel is more expensive than gas. (Thank your Ohio legislature that marina gas is not cheaper - Ohio could refund the highway tax on it (like Texas, Delaware, and a few other states) but does not.
