Does anyone in here do any kind of investing in real estate? I'm speaking of long term or vacation rentals, flips, wholesale, is buying/selling slips a thing?

I get the impression lots of people on here have quit good jobs or own their own business. I'd like to know if there is anyone who makes their primary income from the land side of things.
 
I have 3 vacation rentals in northern Wisconsin. I get $1600 a week each during summer months. A little less in the off season. I never planned on getting in the rental business it just happened. It’s a nice supplemental income.
 
What areas?
We've ran numbers on several vacation rentals, they always seem to have mediocre returns or negative. I mean it's great if you are ok with that.

They are nice because you can use it when you want to get away.
 
I am a full time real estate investor. I have 23 rental properties and flip about 25 houses a year as well in the Boston area. I own a Homevestors franchise which is the “We Buy Ugly Houses” company. If you have questions let me know.

I didn't realize there was a franchise for this type of stuff.
Education aside, what else do they help with?
I checked, someone else already has the territory I'm in. How do they divide up territories?
 
They help with financing of the properties if needed, business model, and the biggest service is the advertising to produce leads. We spend millions every month nation wide on advertising so we know how to generate the best leads with the most potential. . We have a commercial property in WV.
It’s a convenience store, built it approx
20 yrs ago. Had a good job so it was just a investment. Good thing since we were not pros at running it.
Leased it out 15-16 yrs ago On a triple net lease. Can’t believe what they pay for it. But it sure is great extra income
