First time for Spring Commissioning and cleaning after the winter lay over. The interior of our 99 340 DA is in terrific shape but it could use a good cleaning. The cushions have some discoloring and the headliner and berth could use a good once over.

I was thinking bleach and some warm water but read to be careful with any bleach. Then thought about pine sol and water - might deodorize and clean at the same time, then theres the tride and true spray nine, but would it leave a residue. What about protecting it with a 3M product or some sort of vinyl cleaner protector.

What do you use on your boat? I know this might be ridiculous but I have spent hours getting the boat to where I want it and was busy all winter, rebedding, refinishing and updating the boat and want the cabin to get the same attention - even more important - I can't get my wife to help!!!

Thanks everyone - 20 days till April 1st!!!

Have a good one!

I like Simple Green followed by 303 Vinyl protectant.

Malco Leather and Plastic Cleaner followed by Malco PB2.

I go through my interior once a year (sans the cloth cushions) with a mixture of water, bleach and a few drops of dishwashing soap..including all of the little cubby holes, drawers and cabinets, vinyl ceiling and walls.
I use Pledge on all of the vinyl including the headliner, walls, exterior seating and the entire gauge and switch assemblies as often as once a month.

Depending on how dirty things are, here's my arsenal of cleaners:

1. Wipe down with warm soap and water to remove loose surface dirt.
2. I'll hit more stubborn areas with Simple Green.
3. For really stubborn spots I will use a Magic Eraser very lightly as needed.
4. For day-to-day cleaning, I use Windex All Purpose with Vinegar for everything from seats to dash to windshield.

Spray nine, agitate, really good rinse and then follow up with 303 protectant. Dont use the magic eraser sandpaper
