Intake Manifold Help

Hi all, I have a very hard to find intake manifold. My boat is a 87 SEA RAY with a 260 Merc. The 4 inner hole bolts go on a slightly different angle as the outer mounting hole bolts. Looking around now for quite some time and having no luck finding one, I've had a few suggestion given to me but I just wanted to know if anyone out there has some advice on these two.
I"ve been told to get a 86 and earlier Chevy manifold and just drill out the holes myself or, Get the Edlebrock (Preformer) aluminum intake and that will do fine.
Has anyone out there done these two suggestion above and its worked out fine

I am trying to advoid paying about $600 for one!!

I looked for a long time for a manifold for my 7.4L. I ended up finding a guy who had replaced his with a high performance set up.
Use the part number stamped in the top of the intake and see if you can match it up with another application. Finding a Cast Iron manifold is more difficult than I thought.
