Hey all, new to the forum and thought I would throw this out. I have a 2000 Sea Ray 210SD, and I purchased a swim platform from swimplatforms.com (net?...heck, can't remember now). Anyways, the platform is very nicely finished, looks like it will match the hull, but I am more than a bit intimidated about drilling holes in a perfectly good hull.

There is a Marine Max dealer here in KC that I am taking the boat to for a starter issue, and they are going to give me an estimate on installing the platform. What should I expect a job like this would cost?

Here's a swimplatforms.com platform on my 190 Sundeck. Don't forget the 3M 4100 (If I recall). It is not that hard to install actually. You need two people though. The dealer will charge you for at least 4 person-hours, probably 8.

It took a helper and I about three hours to install mine. I drilled 16 holes in my perfectly good hull.....ha ha.....I know how you feel. One of the best upgrades I have done.

I agree with what these guys have said. Just measure about 42 times before you drill. Best money spent on our boat too

Thanks for the replies. I drug the ol' barge to Marine Max, and they are pretty sure 5 man hours will cover it. At $90/hour, I am okay with that estimate as I am not a patient person. I'll post some pics after it is completed.

Quint4, Nice platform. Since you showed me yours I'll show you mine. I built it from manufactured lumber. Sorry about the picture quality.

I'll splash the boat on Saturday and get some better pics.
