Inflatable...on board assembly

And...back to the drawing board for the dinghy vessel. The Intex is great, but the wife made a great point about needing more freeboard to feel safe with toddler aged kids.

You know, it may not be a necessary as you might think to have higher freeboard, although it's certainly not a bad idea. What I mean, is that, likely the only time you'll be using it is in very calm, protected waters. And you're certainly not going to be setting any speed records in it. BUT, I just looked at the one I have (I had to actually check the bag, in my basement, to see what it was called!). It's probably better described as a light-duty "real" one, though. It's not made of "toy" material. It does seem to be made from that heavier material that the real ones are made of, just not quite so thick. It blows up hard like a real one, though. I believe it does have a little more freeboard than the one you were looking at. It's called the "Navigator III", if you want to google it. It comes with inflatable seats, but I don't use them - we just sit on the sides or the floor - less to carry around.

Indeed. Good call on the Nav III. Just watched a few videos and it does seem to have more freeboard. And, wow, still very affordable price. Definitely on our list now. Thank you.
