1973 ‘sea ray’ SRV 180 Berkeley jet drive with a Ford 460ci.

Ford 460ci Berkeley jet drive
So I recently purchased what I thought was a 1973 SRV 180 jet drive.
Title says sea ray, vin on title matches the vin on back of transom.
BUT my HIN starts with ‘Sky’ which from what I can find is a S-K marine brand (long outta business)
So, is it a sea ray? Was S-k apart of sea ray?

Anyone know why the title would say sea ray??

I am pretty sure series 1 pachanga's were never jet drive powered. What is the year of it?

Love the boat. As a kid I lived on a small creek that tied into the Warwick River. One of the older guys had one of these. That thing would fly

Title says it’s a 1973. Which I can’t find a 18’ pachanga in 73.

I know the outside has been redone not sure if the windshield and railing was removed

Your HIN certainly doesn't look kosher, at least by today's standards. A surveyor once told me there was always an alternate HIN location and he found mine and showed it to me. It was near the helm and I think he said they were usually in that area. Not sure this has always been the case but you might try to find an embossed version on your hull.

I had a 82 aquasport with a similar plate no rivets, no molded number and no hidden number

Definitely not a Manufacturers plate for 1973. My guess is the transom was redone which obliterated the original Hull ID. Looks like they did a nice job on it and converted it to a jet boat.

It could have been a salvage or damaged boat in its previous life. 1973 was a long time ago.
