Inboard Flush Kit

I have a 2005 Sundancer 340. Looking to install a flush kit on the motors. Has anyone done this? If so, do you run a water hose into the engine room every time or do you have a hose connection somewhere a little more convenient like the rear fender/dockline compartment? The one I'm looking at looks like there's a check-valve in it so you wouldn't have to close the valve for the sea water.
