In the market for 80's 340 dancer. Questions

So owned a 84 270 sundancer for years. Loved it and so did the kids. It was sold years ago and no getting ready for retirement.

I think 340 is in my and my grad kids future.
On to the questions.

Planning to do the loop so need a min of 250mile range. Appears tanks are 175 gallons. My 270 at cruising speed burned about 20 GPH at 25 MPH.
I'm thinking at hull speed a 340 dancer won't get me 1.5 MPG needed for a 250 miles without the 10 to 20% safety factor.

Any 340 owners out there that can share fuel burn number at Hull an cruise speeds?

Hate to step up to a 390 with diesels. OK that's a lie.

Greetings. As Mike said the 80 340 thread is great. From my personal experience at cruise of 18 to 20 mph I burn 14 gal an hour. Say you can use 150 gals of the capacity thus gives you a range of roughly 200 miles. Not sure if this would get you as far as you need to go. I love the 80s 340 but not sure it's a loop boat.

Thanks for the insight . Much better than I would have anticipated. Most section don't require 250miles. 1 I believe does.
As to a good loop Boat. Will burn a lot of fuel but if budgeted for WTH only live once. 6000 mile cruise.
Now If I can get 2 MPG at Hull speed of say 8 MPH it just may work.
