Just bought a Lowrance Hook2 5 Tripleshot, can I glass that into the battery compartment?
It's like 10 inches long.

If the installation manual says it's OK to mount it inside the hull, then sure. What does it say about that? Don't think I have ever seen one of these mounted this way - and personally never have installed it that way with this style. When you say "battery compartment", what exactly are you referring to? A shelf area where there is space between the shelf and the hull bottom? Absolutely not - no transdcuer can be mounted that way. Maybe it would be best to hire someone and pay the hour or two of labor it would cost for that part of the job?

10" long?- you're probably referring to a transom mount not an internal mount. Internal mounts are a specialized form of transducer and in mounted in the lowest part of the hull. Here's a video of a typical installation.

Epoxy straight to fiberglass near bilge, they do it with the other styles.
But what does the installation manual say about it?

What does "near" bilge mean? It's still unclear what you're referring to and whether you're talking about a shelf, or not.

I think they are talking at the rear bottom of your boat near or close to the bilge plug hole on the flat area.

Yes, there was one there when I bought boat but different kind, It's behind seats and battery, not a shelf.

OK, so 7 posts in to start to understand where you are talking about :) But, seriously, type more - not just short, uninformative sentences. Give us as much information as possible. Without good information, you won't get much help - since we won't know what you are talking about.

So... it sounds like the area you are talking about is the bilge floor - the "angled" part of the hull bottom. With your model 180BR, that is a perfectly acceptable place to mount a "shoot thru" transducer. Whether the one you have can do that, or not, depends on it's specs. See the above comments about that.

I looked up the “triple shot” transducer. Could not find instructions. It’s a multifunction model. Has side view, down viewer, etc. It’s really long, has a rounded bottom, and intended for a transom mount.

Given its functions I would not mount it internally.
