The “1st Mate” has requested I find a way to improve airflow when we are cruising on the Tennessee River. Most of the time I only run at 10 knots or so. She’s convinced I can remove the center panel of the windshield and that will solve her problem. I’m convinced that even if I could do that it would be the beginning of bigger problems. This is our second season with our 340 and any advice is appreciated.

If you had a raised bimini you could remove the center eisenglass and open the wing windows. You could also add 1 or 2 Caframo fans on the dash. They move large amounts of air. I would not remove the center glass panel of the windshield.

+1 for not removing the center glass. All those panels rely on each other for the overall strength of the windshield assembly.

I'd do what hottoddie mentioned plus one thing....Mix her a few cold drinks and she'll forget about the lack of air movement.

Thanks for your insight regarding the windshield modification, I just don’t see that as an option. Unfortunately I’ve done all the things mentioned including the cold mixed drinks without success.
