A gas engine boat is usually every other season unless your putting 100+ hours on them. But in the wrong circumstance it could be every season, meaning a lot of sand mud going through the system would require more often changing. But if you are deep water every other would be fine. There are others here that will say more then that, but hey I am over cautious when it comes to those things, I don't like breaking down.

Genset 1 year. Engines - open and inspect every year, replace at a minimum 2 years.

We average about 70 hours per year. I inspect every year and replace every other year without fail.

This thread reminds me that I need to replace all mine this year

Glad I checked in today, haven’t changed mine yet as boat was new to us as of last season, 2000 410 sundancer.
Thanks for posting

New to us boat last July. Trying to do all the necessary maintenance items before holidays. Previous owner left a very detailed log of what was done already. 90 hours on engine’s and this being the third season since replaced. About the same on genny. I will be replacing them all.

Generator 100 hrs.....longer than that it starts sheading blades. 150 hrs on the mains. Same thing after that.
