I have a 185 & I'm looking to upgrade to a bigger boat to use in the NW section Big Bend area of the Gulf to go out approx 7 miles any suggestions would be helpful.
I'm looking to buy a 210 or 230SLX

I was the same way, had a 18'5 Sea Ray and decided to go a little bigger as well. I landed on a 2010 23' Select with a tower, 350M engine with a A1 outdrive and a 8k stereo upgrade. Love the boat. Just enough room for two of us plus some more. Good look with the search. I looked at the 23ft SLX but couldn't justify the money.

I have a 2007 240 sundeck with Bravo III and love it. Go off shore no problem with and I/O.

I have a 210, and it's my first boat. So glad I didn't go smaller. We love the size for our family, but I wouldn't take it far from the shore unless I was with another friend's boat. It's not a question of reliability, but only because I haven't been boating long enough. Plus, it's a big ocean out there.
