So i had all these grandiose plans to boat til January 1. went down to marina today with wife to take boat to tiki bar, i looked at her shivering, and said "we are done", she said "thank you". so i am having it hauled out thursday. Will be boating from now on in the zodiac for the next 5 months.

Amen to that brother. I slept at the end of A dock at Riverwatch last Saturday evening. I left in that windy misty weather we had Sunday morning and felt the same way. This season was a bummer anyway. The boating itself was fine, but most places just weren't as fun as they usually are when we got there.

Can we get a do-over?

Frost on the dock this morning and highs in the 30's tomorrow, but not giving up yet.

Same. Not pulling quite yet. The extended forecast for my area(Catawba Island/Lake Erie) looks fantastic!

Glad I pulled out last Saturday and got my spot on the berm! Shrink wrap next week to begin winter projects!

This week was down in the 30s/40s in Dallas! Warmed up to 65ish on Fri/Sat. Went out for a night cruise on Friday. Twas nice!

Good call..... I have been getting Texts all day saying I pulled out to early.... and I am a little pissed about it.... like today I cleaned out the garage... put two umbrellas in the attic.... I am going to remember this next year

Bummer to hear. We are 'suffering' an Indian Summer here in SF BAy area. Delivered the 44 to the new owner's marina in Sausalito today. 72 degrees and winds less than 10MPH. The last two hours I'll spend on my 44 burning someone else's diesel made for a great day! I guess we deserve some decent weather after the fires and 45 plus days over 90 degrees coupled with putting up with a radical twit as a governor suggesting we all wear masks between bites if we dare have a family gathering for Thanksgiving!
Carpe Diem

Same forecast here for the next week. But today it's snow and wind's gusting into the 40's. I'm not mad about my boat not getting snowed on :)

we contemplated holding off cause next weekend be sunny & mid-60s. but i just know if i wait it will bite me in the ass and turn cold real quick, so the 'winter boat' it will be for running to the waterfront bar. I really dont mind, sometimes i have more fun in the zodiac than the main boat.

Next weekend looks like 70 and sunny on the Bay. We are heading to St Michaels, I believe. And I do it backwards from you. My dinghy is already put away for the winter.

So, what type of activities are there to enjoy this time of year at St. Michael's

And the payoff today. Sunny and 66 degrees, so we got the head pumped out, fuel tanks filled for storage, and a nice dinghy ride along the shoreline. Beautiful day, with 60's through Sunday.

Same here. No rain until Tuesday!

Brought mine around to the boatyard for hauling on Sunday.
Did my oil changes and winterized, heads, genny and fresh water systems before I brought it to the boatyard.
They pulled it out Tuesday afternoon, and I winterized the motors and AC units yesterday.
I usually come out a day or so before Thanksgiving, but moved things up a week this year.
Hoping to get a couple of warm days to clean the hull before it gets wrapped.
