I have a 1998 230BR with a 7.4 MPI. It has the three standard audio warnings. Occasionally this summer, when turning the key to start the motor, nothing happened- no click, just nothing. This would happen for 3 or 3 tries and then it would start. At first I thought it was one of the warning signals that opened the circuit but further investigation shows that these are just audio warnings and not relays to shut the engine off.
So the question, do I have an ignition switch going bad and just doesn't make contact some of the time.
Or should I look for something else that may not be making proper contact.
