If you own a Sundeck or a Select EX (SLX), how important is it to have a head?

Would you have bought your SLX or Sundeck if it didn't have a head?

Cobalt= no head? What are they thinking? When I was 20 I didn't need one. Now that I'm older it's pretty important. Even back then the chicks I've had on my boat never really liked the " just squat on the swim platform thinghy" I'm surprised the rich, well defined Cobalt women are ok with that. ;) Or maybe when your that rich you don't need to go to the bathroom?

I had a 240SD for four seasons. We used it every weekend. When I sold it the head had not been used once. We pee with the fishes and #2 is done on shore.

If the results of this poll are any indication what a typical boater looks for, it appears to me that COBALT is going to lose a lot of sales on their A25 model by not offering a head.

First of all, the person looking for a boat with a head won't refuse to buy it even if they don't want a head. But that doesn't work for those for whom a head is a must. Those folks will just pass on the boat and they will lose sales.

Their marketing decision makes no sense to me at all.

You gotta admit that hyd swim platform is pretty cool.

Don't leave home (or the dock) without it.

We use the head all the time. Yup, you can jump in the water and my Admiral does it from time to time for the little things in life. But for bigger experiences in life ya just gotta have a head.

My boat is a cuddy.

When we were shopping, we thought the heads provided on the sundecks and SLX's were way to cramped. When we use the head on the SS, the cabin is cleared of people and people do their buisness with the head door open.

Personally, I would not want to deal with the chemical "porto potties". I have used "pump out" heads on other boats: They work fine, but the Vacuflush systems are simply the Bee's Knees.

Do we have to have it? No. But it sure makes life easier. Especially at night, when NOBODY is going into the water to take a leak.

We have a 210 sundeck and the head is small and we go day boating and do not need to use the head. Swimming takes care of that #1 problem. The head area is great for storage of the items we need for a great day on the water, but its good to know its there just encase you need it. Would not want boat without one because it has two functions. Now were talking about a 210 not 30 footer or a boat that is a overnighter. Ours has the pump out option because I also do not want to carry that s##t up the dock to the mens room and try not to splash it on myself. So for us its nice to have.
