Idiot Thief-Great Car...

I used to work on Mercedes for over a decade. I bet that window was cracked but you have to admit that's pretty impressive that it held up as well as it did. About 8 years ago, I worked on an S Class that was subjected to the same type of attack, and there were bits of cinder block embedded in the side windows. Now, the S has had double pane laminated glass since 1992 so they are about 3/8" thick. Those windows on this car had cracked the outside pane but none of the windows hit had any damage to the inner pane. In 2009, a customer brought us an SL that his estranged wife got caught attempting to destroy. She started with a large hammer and sawzall. Still, she cracked a windshield, broke a mirror off, and cracked a side window before turning to a headlamp with the hammer. Well, the headlight brackets snapped, but the hammer bounced off the polycarbonate lens and hit her in the leg.

Moral of the story, don't mess with someone's car unless you are planning to get hurt. Also, don't cheat on your husband when your prenup entitles you to nothing if caught straying.
 
This one is vying with the Trunk Monkey. Now, if a chimp had popped out to the trunk that would be my all time favorite! My son summed it up very simply: "That brick had a heck of a ride!"
