rewiring my bilge I've come across in the protective covering along with the bilge wires and the emergency bilge wire and high water alarm wire, there is a brown w/blue or violet stripe, it's not on any of the drawings I have, is anyone familiar with this ? All these wires end abruptly, the last owner had a major overheating problem, everything melted .
The boat is a 1993 sea ray, 290 sundancer with a 7.4L Bravo engine,GEN-5 with a carb.,
in this picture it looks gray with a blue stripe IMG_0262.JPG

A little context would be helpful to see where things come from and where they are going. Grey wires are usually neutral wires.

like I said the wires ended, there was no continuation. I was able to find where it started thou, under the dash it end taped to a black wire and both have ring ends on them, all of the toggle switches have push on connections,I don't think it could be a neutral wire like you said ,it's a dc system. Thanks anyway
