My '99 270 has one of those two foot tall Norcolds I think it is. Since we have had it, the super thin wood outer facing has been broken off. White or black would work.

It is an odd design with foams strips between the face and the fridge, but the covering seemed like it was paper thin plywood. We have part of the broken pieces.

Any idea where to find substitute material or better yet, the actual cover?

It sounds like wood veneer. Here is an example of a place that sells it https://www.veneersupplies.com/.

If you want white or black, I suggest checking out counter top laminate material at your local Home Depot or Lowes. If you find a damaged sheet, ask for the manager and offer them 1/2 price for it. I do that all the time for work bench and router table tops. I've never been turned down. You should be able to fit that right in the grooves on the door. The foam was just there to prevent noise from vibration due to the compressor.

If you find the laminate or veneer to fit, but don't like the color, you can get 3m vinyl wrap in a variety of colors, styles and textures to fit the style you are looking for like stainless, black matte or gloss, or anything else.

I like that idea. My main fridge looks great, but my cockpit fridge can use a facelift. It may be worth finding a place that does wraps and bring them the panel to re-cover.

I bought aluminum sheeting from the big box years ago and cut them to fit. I put clear acrylic sheeting over them to protect from scratch and dents. Looked like stainless. Any material would work really
