I voted Democrat because I love the fact that I can
now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I voted Democrat because Freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I voted Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq, I trust that the bad guys will stop what they are doing because they now think we are good people.

I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have
a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits.

I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves.. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the democrats see fit.

I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges
need to rewrite The Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ass that it is unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

I voted democrat so i could read moronic things like that and laugh. This is all Laughable because unlike what you describe as democratic i don't have time to sit around all day and and come up with stupid things to put on an internet forum. I'm working my ass off so i can go enjoy my four day weekend on the water.

Hopefully my cop friend protect me when i irresposibaly shoot myself in the foot.

Back to having my head shoved up my ass

Totally agree with you. Unfortunately there has not been much of a choice since Reagan.
I am an independent because I like to be able to say.. "I didn't vote for those idiots."
I am an independent because I don't like commitments or labels.
I am an independent because both the Democrats and Republicans are too liberal fiscally and socially.
I am an independent because am really a libertarian in disguise.

I'm with Rod, except that I'm more of a Conservative than a Libertarian.

+1 Funny and spot on. I just wish Republicans were a better choice. If you are a "fiscal facist-personal lives libertine" you are politically homeless.

I vote for whoever I think the best candidate for the job at hand is, devoid of political affiliation because I realized as an intelligent human that each party has good and bad within them and neither is exclusive of values.

I will not vote in a year where the puppet masters have deceived us once again as their wandering sheep kept busy with right vs. left when in the end only their own self interests are served.

The latter is becoming more common, I am afraid. I dont care about parties anymore, this is an outdated concept imo. Time to purge the government of career politicians, and bring it back within the vision of our forefathers where the common man served his country, then went back to being the common man.

Good luck.

What's that old definition of insanity? Doing the same things and expecting different result?

It has spectactular application to politics: "If only the other party would stop their interference, our party could get some good things done".

Who else but egomaniacs run for office? We give our power to the idiots on both sides, and wonder why they don't change our lives for the better.

I am an independent because I live in MA and if anyone knew I was a Republican, I'd lose a lot of friends and business. You think it's scary where you are in FL, TN and GA, try living here for a month. Its a different world. Mob mentality rules here. You can't get the view from the other side from TV, Radio, print, or school. I love visiting my dad in GA and reading the paper. It reminds me that conservative values, religion, freedom, and partiotism is still alive and actually predominant in some parts of the country.

Good thing the founding fathers didn't follow your path. Sometimes it takes some balls and a little risk to stand up for what you believe in. You may be suprised how many of your customers have a similar mindset. Keep following Ted Kennedy and see where that gets ya!

not here, not now not ever, post your pms elsewhere

Trust me, nobody is following TK in my home. We are the quiet resistance. Problem is you can't ever make a difference in this state. It has and alway will be Blue. Very few of my customers have that mindset. Cambridge, MA are you kidding me? This is another country. I know, it is hard to understand unless you have lived here. I'm in medical practice and the rule is not to talk sex, politics, or religion. My patients have no problem expressing their views. I just smile and keep working. Remember what happened to the people who spoke out against the Nazis in Germany?

As long as you have your beliefs and raise your kids to do what they think is right, not what the crowd or the media says. Maybe eventually we can get common sense back in this country. I agree MA is like another country. I listened to a group of guys try to convince me that Clinton would go down as one of the greatest Presidents of all time. To each thier own, I guess. I think I would take Billy over our current situation, but as others have said, neither side has impressed me much lately. Eventually we will have enough and possibly vote in a whole new group of leaders to right the ship. (R), (D), or (I) I just want someone who does what the people who elect them and pay them want. They are supposed to be Our Representatives!

Its progressive guys, not democrat. I have voted Libertarian ever since the 1st George Bush said "Read my lips, no new taxes" and then did.

I think Libertarian may be the way to go. The only problem is, the only people likely to vote for them are Republicans. So, during the transition, the freaking liberals ruin this great nation.

I like the OP's humor sort of what I would expect from Mark Twain or Will Rodgers. But then they could not exist today as the BHO committe or the DNC would sue them into oblivion.

This is exactly the problem.....
If only the Libertarians could win something. It seems to me that they are the only ones who have the balance right.

I understand completely, and feel for you. Do what you can and try and raise your own kids and educate others whenever you can by questioning their premises. Unfortunately, I suspect that the local administration and school board already have you pegged as a terrorist/bad parent/malcontent.
