I went in today to look at a brokered 280 Sundancer and walked out 90% sold on a 2000 310 with v-drives.
I need to stay away from Sea Ray dealers

If you really like the '00 300DA then you owe it to yourself to go look at a later 320 or 340 w/ v-drives.
I wrote the above about 1/2 tongue in cheek........what you will see is the difference in design form the '00 vintage to the later profile. It will only broaden your knowledge base and give you more ammo to negotiate with.

After 3 1/2 years of ownership we still love our '99 310DA. Economical enough to go for a saturday joyride, yet comfortable enough for a couple to go on a long cruise. Having said that, I think the 340DA is the one that sets the standard in this style & size range. Since you are moving up from a 270, you probably should jump to the 340 with V-drives.

This 310 has less than 100 hours, has been marina maintained and docked in a covered slip it's whole life. It's hard to say no.
I'd like to move up to a bigger boat but I had to beg and plead to be able to put a 310 on my dock. I only pay $450/year to dock so it is worth it to stay there.

My "DreamBoat" is a 340.
We hope to upgrade to a 260DA, but keep thinking that a 280 with twin 4.3's may be a better fit.
Around January we'll have a better idea what the market bears but we're anxious to get back out there. Now that fall has struck, even though it's low 40's in the AM it's high 70's to low 80's by afternooon, no wind, calm water and no-one out there.

We too moved up from a 270 and took best advise to go for what payment we could aford. Go for a bigger baot the slip will fall into place. I have no clue now how ther 270 kept us satisfied all these years. Our radar is on a 380 or 420 now and we keep our eyes peeled for the next boat of our life.
