Over the years, I've had a few accidents that has resulted in damage to various ares of my spine. Consequently, I experience varying degrees of pain on a daily basis and this has been going on for decades. Has anyone out there had any experience with "Laser Spine Institute"?

I am contemplating contacting these people to see what they can do with my old bag of bones. Input of any nature will be greatfully appreciated.

Don’t know your specific situation, but just generally speaking:
No experience with them, but chronic back pain sufferer.
Two herniated disks, arthritis, and at 63, age related stenosis.
With the help of a back brace I lived with the pain.
Not a fan of surgery unless as a last result.
Started Yoga a couple of months ago out of desperation at the suggestion of the physical therapist who got me through a bout with crippling sciatica last year.
So far the Yoga has made a huge improvement.

No idea if this is applicable to your situation, but have known several people who found a lot of relief through the fusion process.

Tiger Woods just underwent this approach.

Surgery on L5 20 years ago no real problem since I drop 30 pounds to help keep my back straight. At 56 years of age and still on my feet at my second career. Losing weight was huge not easy but did make the difference.

I can't comment on them or their quality but I'm blessed to live close to Yale and the Dr pool is incredible to choose from. So what did was research the Dr's and visited (interviewed) 4 different ones before choosing my guy. And it was so worth it.
I did a L4/5 Replacement with titanium after years of pain and I dropped 30 + lbs and do Yoga and drink my weight in water and top it off with fish & coconut oil pills daily.

Sorry E.D. I know your pain, good luck in whichever route you go.

A friend of mine took his wife down to Phoenix for back repair. I think it was LSI but not sure. After the procedure she didn't feel any difference and 2 years later is still in pain.

When I was 34 years old I had benign tumor removed from my spine ...wrapped around my spine 13 cm size of a little football had sciatic pain from 20 years nobody knew where was coming from finally figured it out I had it removed and reconstructive back surgery tumor ate through a lot of the vertebrae‘s in my lumbar spine had T 12 through L5 fused seven vertebrae In all 9 years ago Not that I ever had back pain specifically but I’ve had absolutely no repercussions to having that many vertebrae fused I can function just as normal as anybody else except for one weird angle putting my socks on that little funky bender reach down becomes difficult being 6 foot four doesn’t help either !!

I looked into LSI when I was considering back surgery but they couldn’t help with my issue. I ended up with a fusion (with hardware) on L2/L3 and an artificial disc on L3/L4. They have to go in from the front for adr so it was quite an experience. 2 separate surgeons worked on me and it was a huge success! I am back to playing golf even. I don’t see how a consult could hurt and if your symptoms are treatable by one of their procedures, it may be a less invasive way to get yourself fixed.

The "majority" of people with "severe" back pain are severely overweight. I have had L4 and L5 issues for 35 years. I am 6ft and 185lbs. I do stretching exercises and 50-100 sit ups daily to maintain my core muscles to prevent recurrence. I still have back pain but occasionally to Ibuprophen to make it tolerable. Morale "LOOSE THE WEIGHT"!!!!

I hear you about losing the weight & I have lots to lose. I have a "Catch-22" situation here where I can't stand very long before the pain is unbearable. As soon as I sit down, the pain goes away. I think that this is the spinal stenosis at play here, so exercise as simple as walking is out of the question. Quite simply put, I have damaged vertebrae that need to be dealt with. I have seen a dietician and I have lost 20 pounds in the last 4 months, so this is a good thing. Although very pricey, I hear that LSI can be a viable option. I think that I will send them my most recent MRI images to get an opinion before doing anything drastic.
