I hope this is the right place to post, this is scott from vector imaging

Scott
My cousin just bought a 320DA and needs to replace the panel on the port side of the helm that held the Raymarine plotter as he is changing it out for a Garmin unit. He's made a cad drawing of the pattern. We can either get it cut here if you can sell the sheet of material that matches the burl pattern or send the pattern to you to cut?

What is your turn~around time? What do you suggest
Todd

Just sent you an email

Anyone know how Scott is doing? Is he still making panels?

He was as of a month ago when I dealt with him last and he made no mention of getting out or slowing down. He actually seemed very motivated to get caught up. He was still trying to catch up on work after all the issues that he had which are spoken about in this very thread.

Amazing! I can agree with everyone that said we all go through rough patches! I read the entire thread on the other forum mentioned here (as well as this one) and I'm quite happy about it! Happy because I'm glad to see a caring compasionate group that cares for others on CSR as opposed to other places that want to try and destroy a person and his reputation because he came across a few difficulties. Scott, the work is amazing, incredible, and I'm currently looking into how you may be able to help me. To the rest of the CSR bunch; we may poke some fun and talk some trash from time to time, but when it comes down to it we're a great group! The obvious class here as opposed to other sites speaks for itself!

Scott

Glad to hear your back. The panels and the support are great. Thanks again ................. ns

Oooh oooh [happy boat owner dance]. Scott's last panel came in about ten days ago (bad measurement was my fault). Bitchin' bitchin' bitchin' panel. Quality work. Great price. Thanks Scott! The "eagle-eyed" might notice that the blower warning was specifically deleted...I have enough warnings in my life.

During (the burn near the second and third switches from the left was the precipitating factor in the replacement)

Hey Scott, don't worry about sending the entire replacement LED set, after waiting 2 months, I made my own. The panels are amazing looking though.

Hey CSR's - Saw this,.....and had to reply ! Scott has just returned my panels for my '99 330 EC, and they are outstanding !! With reluctancy to 'pay up front' to help him out, I did so via Pay Pal, and he has lived up to every word and action that he promised !! In fact, he shipped the original guage panels for the std. 3 1/2" tach. openings, and replaced it immediately w/ the 4 1/2" unit at no charge! I priced three other sources, and found him to be the best !! DO NOT hesitate to use Scott ! We've all had our 'bumps in the road', but this guy is for real !! Thanks Scott !

I ordered panels from Scott in December of 2011 and have not received them 3 months later. Scott will not take my calls. I would recommend caution. Sounds like he is out of business

His greeting says he's in the process of moving. Have you heard this greeting for sometime?

Todd,
Just the fact that he hasn't come on here to weave his tale of woes once again tells me something is up. The last time he jumped on here to defend himself, apologize and share his misery. It seemed at the time the CSR community rallied around him and continued to do business with him. That looks like a mistake in hindsight.
I was waiting to see how this shook out before ordering panels for my boat as I had many other priorities to keep me busy for now. As it turns out he can count me as one person who will be taking my business elsewhere when the time comes.
I wish him well but would not invest my time or money in his business with the way he has conducted himself over the course of the past year or so.

I am not a customer yet and have been watching this thread. I applaud you in stepping up to clarify the misunderstandings and the obvious turmoil in your private life, stressful indeed. I am going to be placing an order with you hopefully sooner than later. In the meantime keep your chin up high ! Let's hope you still can get that good stuff for us old boats.

I agree 100%. It's too bad as he did have a faithful following. I don't have it set up yet but I want offer similar products. I just started a new company www.vikingbay.co and am working on some custom vents here.

I'm not ready to offer the dash panels yet and won't until I can perform

Todd,
I have followed many of your posts over the years here and you seem to be exactly the kind of fellow I would want to do business with. I hope you do get this going as I remember that you are in a transition period in your life now. I would be happy to be one of your first customers for the panels. I am not doing them this year so hopefully you will be up & running by next year when I am ready!! I wish you well with your new endevours. I am sure you will be successful!

Jeff,
Scott's response was from almost 14 months ago!! Since then he has fallen off of the face of the earth. There are other threads here where he has taken money months ago and won't even return calls or e-mails. Caveat Emptor or "Let the buyer beware"!! Just a little friendly advice, find a reputable vendor. This young man is no longer appears to be reliable judging from the feedback of others he has hurt on this site.

Todd,

Thanks for that, I totally missed the date (i think) not really sure what I was doing there. Clearly I am in need of a vacation and will use this posting to prove my voice to the Admiral.

No worries man. I responded to a thread that was like 3 years old when I first came on board here. Then I got pissed when the guy didn't respond!!:wow: So, I know how it happens. I just didn't want to see you get bamboozled and be out the dough. We were all (mostly) pulling for Scott understanding that sh!t happens, it happens to all of us. It just seems that he has lost control and now won't even respond to people that gave him payment in full, up front!
Again, I wish the guy well. I don't think he is necessarily a bad guy, just a bad businessman.

I have seen this post before, way before I had any affilation with Scott/Vector Imaging. I have been trying to get in contact with him for about two and half weeks with no results. I would really like to know what has happen to him. It seems that at times he is totally with it and then no clue.

Ted

Yes, I had paid him for my 1998 270 DA dash panels and he doesnt answer any calls or emails. I am assuming he is out of business. Too bad. It looked and sounded as though his work was excellent.
