I'm quickly learning the best thing about Sea Ray is Rusty Higgins. I have recently been shopping around other brands, but I won't any more. As long as he's employed by Sea Ray, I'm staying put, and all my current and future boats will be a Sea Ray. It doesn't get any better than the hands on guidance and help from him.

Richie, You're not gonna get any argument from me! The Captain is unbelievably generous with sharing his time, knowledge, and expertise. Good luck finding you're next SR

Captain Rusty went way out of his way and took quite a bit of his time to give advise to a guy with a nearly 30 year old boat. Still shaking my head about that but after years of watching him do that for a bunch of other people, it's just how he rolls. The world needs more like him.

Frank and Lazy are a couple of other guys that just put out as well.

I messaged Captain Rusty for some help with diagrams on how to remove the port locker in the cabin. I had the diagrams, a phone call, and all the help I needed by day's end.

Mad props to Captain Rusty!

Capt. Rusty is a gentleman that is both selfless and determined when it comes to championing the Sea Ray brand and to support us in the enjoyment of our boats. He is certainly a tremendous asset to the brand and to us. On my recent journey we talked several times. I am fortunate and proud to call him a friend. As Sea Ray owners, we gotta friend in the business... Thank you Rusty.

How would someone get in touch with said Captain? Asking for a friend :)
You can private message him on this forum. (Capt. Rusty Higgins) Provide your question and contact information and he’ll get back with you. Keep in mind his reply might be delayed if he happens to be delivering one of the Sea Ray yachts.

Reminded of a quote I've read somewhere..." It's a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together" It's obvious this gentleman enjoys what he's doing. Thanks Captain Rusty.

Be sure to give Rusty your cell number when you PM him. He has very little office time and prescious little of that is available for email to owners of non L-Class boats. On the other hand, some parts of a day in the life of a delivery Captain can be a bit boring, so he uses the time he has away from the wheel for phone calls, if he is close enough to the coast to get a cell signal.

I love to see you get appreciated like this thread shows......Would you mind calling me......I have a quick question about my 2009 48 Dancer!!!

Thank you!!
