Those little plastic deals that turn to hold the window down., Where do I get those? Man the wind flipped the window and SMASH!

Dogs? or Dog Ears, or whatever they're called? What kind of boat?

I don't know what boat you have, but... you know that little black nylon strap by the base of your windshield.... :grin:

Be happy you didn't break the glass!

:lol::lol::lol:

yup! I buddy of mine did not strap it down. I am the captain still my fault. I told him he said cool, his ADD must have kicked in cause he forgot. Sure enough the wind caught it on a turn. glad no one's finger was holding on anywhere near there.

Use your strap to secure. My 5 year old daughter was standing right there when this happened years ago and wham!! hit her right on the head. Fortunately, she wasn't hurt but scared the he!! out of me!!

The same thing happened to me, on my first run. As I opened the walk thru window, some gusty wind came accross and Bang! :wow:. The bottom one was the only that broke, no one was injured...

If anyone knows of the brand, where to buy them and how to install them, please let me know. I'm sure someone has done this before and would probably have a better option.

Thanks,

That's just the newer version of the Taylor product that Hampton posted. It will work just as well as the type you have. You'll need to drill out your current rivet no matter what direction you go. You can re-rivet it, or, the older style comes with self-tapping SS screws in the pack.

Most local marine stores should carry that product (and probably less money than West Marine, too). I know we're only dealing with a miniscule amount of money, but over pricing stuff P's me off:smt013. We price those at an honest mark-up and they sell for $4.25. Now please know I am not saying that so you'll buy from me - but I am saying try to buy stuff from local, home-grown businesses when you can.

I didn't check with my parts department, but I'm pretty sure your local dealer can get you the exact same part you have, if you want the style that's currently on your boat. Although, it's still a Taylor part, so it may very well be available other places.
