guys

past owner neglected to fix the threaded holes for the hydraulic zincs, end result is now they are past the point i can heli-coil them. thinking about using a 2 part JB marine epoxy and "gluing" in 2 10-32 stainless studs and using lock nuts and locktite to try to slow down the corrosion.

anyone tried this?

Don't see that working. Can you get a larger screw to work ? Those rams pop up on craigs or ebay all the time, I'd just use them till they don't work no more and replace.

Epoxy will isolate (electrically) the rams from the zincs. I just used over sized sheet metal screws with the tip cut (Ground) off to expose the threads at approx. width of holes they were going into. Seems to work.
