I have a 630 vdrive in a 95 370 Sea Ray SD. I started the season with a fluid change, boat sat unused for about 3 weeks with not a drip.Took the boat on the first trip and noticed a small amount of fluid under the case, about 3-4 drops right in the area of the case where it splits,so I wiped it clean and proceeded home, when back checked again,no drip but bottom of case wet.Once again wiped it and waited for the next weekend, before starting I checked again and found nothing, ran boat and wet again and this went on for the rest of the season.I can't seem to find where it's coming from.First I thought overfill but still can't see where it's coming from.Fluid level seems fine very lil change if any...checked while hot and cold. The fluid is gathering right where the case splits on the lowest point,I looked to see if it was just running down and gathering at it's lowest point but can't seem to find any evidence of anything..I've talked to several fellow boaters and they just say diaper it and don't worry..it's pretty normal for a Hurth just check your levels...Someone else said Hurth did not put a gasket on that joint but I can't find anything on that...any direction would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks

Make sure your dipsticks are tightened down and it's not coming from there. If they are tight, put a diaper down and don't worry about it. It is very common. It does not take much ATF to make a big stain on the diaper, but the missing fluild is almost never measurable on the dip stick. This is something to watch but not worry about unless it gets much worse.
