Thanks, No. I boat to relax and have fun. This appears to be neither. I am reminded of CJ Martin's post last summer about the Volvo Ocean Series competitor who went overboard and died of hypothermia. I have an advanced degree in misery courtesy of the Army. I desire no additional practice.
I'll stick to burning diesel on the comparatively calm Potomac and Chesapeake.
I have been in the North Atlantic on a 553' vessel before and tossed like a toy. Nothing like seeing a 1000' Carrier's bow come out of the water...Like Skip said, once is enough...ha ha.
I have an uncanny attraction to the rough stuff :smt017 ... a bit
like the storm chasers you have in the US ...... but my heart goes
out to those in Lake County right now
