My smart tow tach gauge is fogging up inside and would like to remove it to dry it out. Anyone know how to remove it? No screws on front panel and the back looks enclosed by fiberglass. Thanks!!

You're probably already going ahead with the removal, but in case you aren't, you don't need to remove it. Just let the cover off the boat for a while in the sun and the sun will do the work for you. Let nature take it's course... wet weather fogged it up and the sun will dry it out.

I did get it out. It actually is not fogged when I take the cover off the boat and then fogs up while running during the day so bad that I can not read the smart tow info on the LCD. I am going to take it home and see if I can get it to dry out permanently there. The other two gauges are fine. Anyone else experience this issue?

I have experienced it quite a few times (on different boats, as well). If you let the sun work for a while (in some cases, takes a full day or two), it'll clear it up. The fogging that you experienced when the sun beat down on it was the process starting to work - it just wasn't given enough time. But to hurry the process, about the only thing you can do is supply artificial heat. Since you have it off, you might try getting some desiccant (pick it up cheap at a craft store) and submerging the gauge in a pot of that - I've never tried that myself, but I can't really think of any other ways to do this (safely) any faster.

I have experienced the same fogging. The gauges actually have 2 clear plastic lenses. My fogging occurred in between the 2 lenses. I removed the gauge from the boat and brought it home so it was easier to work on. I removed the silver bezel (gently pryed off) now you will see a clear plastic outer lens. Pry off that lenses as well. You now have a single clear lenses. My fogging was like I said. In between the lenses. If your fogging is below the 2 nd lenses this method won't work. I then used some clear silicone ( not too much) and sealed everywhere where moisture could possible get in. This fix has worked for the last 2 months. Good luck.
