some have installed vinyl plank flooring in place of the carpet....that is on my 'to do' list once i retire latter this year....IMO it really dresses up the cabin and should be MUCH easier to clean than the carpet....

several threads about this....suggest you do a search in the 'Modifications' forum if interested....

    Ryan,
I like that type of vinyl plank.....the light color in the grain would look good with the tan color vinyl upholstery in our cabin....can you post a link?

    thanks...

Sure, the cheap stuff! I think this was it, either way it was from Home Depot. The somewhat thin vinyl click lock stuff. Cuts like nothing with a multi tool and is waterproof.

Here is what I had installed 2 years ago, NuTeak,?, by c-flor, very labor intensive, but that’s probably any flooring where you remove the carpets. We did this when we bought the boat, wife made it a requirement, carpets don’t belong on boats. Still amazes me how long it took manufacturers to start using wood-like Flooring in boats. My neighbor Gary installed this himself, he basically would spend a few hours on the boat each day sanding, a good chunk of the work for him was prepping the surface. 2C59388C-94EE-4834-B144-A1C1FD63F5A1.jpeg

The Infinity weave comes with backing and various thickness. Which thickness are you using? ..I didn't think to use it like a runner.
We are looking at making new runners with Infinity canvas. Have you seen or used it?... It seems to be a bit stiff to me

I only use the HD backed Infinity. I have samples of the Infinity canvas. I really like it but it is quite a bit more than Sunbrella. It is hard to switch from a very field proven product like Sunbrella, although I would like to try the Infinity canvas sometime.

I like the infinity canvas because it has a subtle pattern to it and would be different then the stock Sunbrella... Do you think it would be too stiff ?

I think it would be workable.
