How often to detail/wax boat?

I have the boat hauled and blocked annually for bottom paint and wax. In between, I do the topsides once myself with a PC orbital buffer. The annual job, which includes compound ing and waxing, costs around $800. Hauling at the local DIY yard costs 220 plus 43 per day for overnight storage.

Where do you pull it? Seminole?

Yes.

I have been using an independent guy for detailing and bottom paint. He was recommended by a friend, and I have not shopped around for the last two years.

John,

You are like me...........all it took was one buff/wax job on a 390EC to teach me all I needed to know about driving a buffing machine. I hate paying the guy we use on our boat, but I've learned to look at it like its buying me 4-5 more days on the water every year instead of an overhead cost.
