not too much information out there on them. Doesn't seem like it should be too expensive either. But it does sound like a good idea. Especially if you're starting out with fresh manifolds & risers.

I just bought the Mercruiser kit. Plan to install it in the spring.

The kit runs about $150.
Labor will be based on accessibility.
Looks to be a 2-3 hour job for me. I may have to remove the CF3 module to get at the raw water inlet hose.

Could easily be $400-$500 for the whole job if you send it to a mechanic.

I installed flush kits on my boat and flush every time the engine is started even if for just a minute or two. I like the fact that I can dispel some salt but not sure how much it really helps. Life expectancy for risers and manifolds on a boat that does not get flushed regularly is 3 -5 years. For a boat flushed after every use 3 - 5 years.

I put one on my jet boat for $10. Cut the raw water line put in a "T" and hook my garden hose to it. Seems to work as I get water out both exhaust manifolds and the engine does not get hot when I run it on land for long time. Sure not automatic.
