We were talking back and forth in another thread and the comment came out about using canned air to clean your cabin door track like you would use to clean your keyboard. I mentioned that I just pick my keyboard up, turn it over, and shake it to clean it. Do/Did you?

ummmm.... No. My laptop doesn't like it when I turn it upside down and shake it.

They may have given him an Etch-a-Sketch at work and he doesn't know it's not really a computer yet....

Pilots.

Guys.............John is in the deep, deep south and he works for the Federal Government. You need to be thinking in terms of construction paper and crayons instead of gee-whizz toys.

Actually, what those guys at Tyndall AFB work with every day would probably blow your mind with how advanced they are.

I think on the Space Shuttle there is a placard on the instrument panel that says "How does it feel to fly on the lowest bidder?"

I corrected your post to be in compliance with NJ rules and regulations....

It's worse than the lowest bidder - it's gubment.

If there was a placard in the shuttle, it was most likely a tribute to Walter Schirra. If you remember way back when, to Gemini 6, they had an ignition and shut down. Schirra didn't pull the ejection lever and waited it out. In an interview after the event, he stated... "This was all put together by the lowest bidder."

I take my keyboard and laptop apart to clean it. I'm not sure though how it gets so dirty I never eat over it. I think the cat is doing it.

I have to blow out the PC keyboards with compressed air about once a year. Never had to blow out or clean the Mac keyboard or the Sun keyboard.

Glad to see you are having some fun with this. I thought you were just being an a$$ when you dissed my canned air suggestion on the other thread.

If you ever feel that way again, please be advised that it's probably just a weak attempt at humor on my part, or my inability to put my thoughts into words correctly. I'm rarely an a$$. You have to poke and prod at me several times, ignore my attempts to get past it, continue to push my buttons, and then I become an a$$.

Sorry you felt that way earlier.

I did get a kick of the visual of somone shaking the keyboard (and better yet, the cabin door as you suggested).

Oh sure, blame it on the cat! A cat would leave a tootsie roll behind on your keyboard.... ; )
