How many people in Sacramento

Ken - I'm sorry I missed this. We have not been down much because of the heat. I do not have AC....yet. I will be down on the 4th to clean and back on Saturday. We'll hook up one of these day.

Guys, I tried to organize a CSR Delta Chapter rendezvous at Oxbow a couple of years ago and it kept falling apart. Do we want to try again or we could go somewhere else?

As long as it's not on one of our cruise dates, I will be there dragging some others along.

Well count me in now. My first post as a new member and a new owner of a 1994 440 Sundancer. I've rented a slip at Oxbow Marina and will start berthing her there 1st of December (or there-a bouts)! Purchased it in San Diego this month and will be driving it home over Thanksgiving weekend (hopefully, weather permitting!) I'm new to this size vessel and so I have hired a delivery yacht captain to accompany me on this voyage. He will be providing some training along the way and I am really looking forward to the trip! I look forward to the experience of this boat as well as the people I['ll meet along the way!

I know... Pictures will be coming soon!

Welcome Kalee! Stop by sometime. I've got a 340 Sundancer at the end of E shed at Oxbow. It's a nice marina. We are very happy there.

Out of curiosity, what is the captains name that is bringing your boat up?

Dan

Nikolay Alexandrov... SanDiegoCaptains.com I'm very excited about the trip!

Welcome! You should have moved to Perry's to hang with the rest of the Sea Rays.

I wasn't aware that was the place to be! Shouldn't be hard to hook up though, Oxbow is right around the corner!

We basically have a Sea Ray shed. The sign is going up next week! Check out our website above my signature picture...

I'm going to have to watch for the sign next time I'm going by Perry's!
it will most likely be in our shed or on the island side of the shed. You won't see it from the road. You may see my swim platform sticking out under the drop curtain a few down from the 460DA that has it's bow sticking out about 10'!

Well we survived the trip from San Diego to Oxbow marina this past weekend. We left San Diego Friday afternoon and motored up through the channel islands to Santa Barbara. We arrived at Santa Barbara harbor just as the fuel dock was opening. We topped off the tanks with 155 gallons and shoved off. We went under the Golden Gate on Sunday afternoon, exactly 48 hrs from when we left. Since we didn't want to navigate the delta at dark, we spent the night at the Benicia Yacht Club. We topped off the tanks Monday morning and arrived at Oxbow marina around 1:00pm. Total fuel consumed was just a little under 400 gallons. Which is coincidentally what the 440 fuel capacity is. Not bad, burned under a gallon a mile. From SD to SB the water was fairly smooth, we were able to cruise at 20 knots. Once we left SB and turned the corner at Point Conception, it was a different story. 4 to 5 foot swells with 15kt winds coming from the north. We had to slow to 8.5 - 9.0 knots and motored ahead until we passed Monterey Bay. We were able to throttle up once we past Santa Cruz and resumed a 20knot speed under the Gate and into SF Bay all the way to Benicia. I have to tell you it was a first for me, and extremely fun and exhilarating. The boat performed flawlessly, we traveled a little over 500nm and there was not a single issue! She ran like the thorough-bred she is!

Looking forward to our new home at Oxbow and the boat has earned a wash, wax and detail job for sure!

Congrats on making the trip safely! Extreme Detailing is who you want to use. Romalo will make your boat shine like new! We should meet up...

Glad to have another CSR member at Oxbow. We are permanently moored at the guest dock and there most weekends. Come by and say Hi and I will buy the first one.

Shawn,
I'll take you up on that offer next time I'm there. I'll stop by and introduce myself... By the way... I'm looking for a good diesel mechanic in the area, any recommendations. I've been told that the gentleman at Nordic Marine is good, but all the time busy... Any others?

I have been using J & H Marine in Stockton. They have truly earned my business. Ask for Eric. They are located at Delta Marine. I have been having haulouts done there. Tony Fasso is a great guy to work with. Lieth at Nordic is good but very busy. He currently has four boats at the Oxbow guest dock he is working on. I like him but I hate to wait.

Stay with J&H Marine. Worth the trip to Stockton and very professional. The other mentioned has let down a friend many times.
