How many hours do you put on your Sea Ray?

About 90+ hours per year including 24 or so for our annual Quad Cities to Lake City MN trip every year. We're out virtually every weekend that the weather permits from May 1 to October 15.

Only about 60 hours last year. Weather, work, high gas prices squeezed that a little and the year before was about as bad with only 50 in the hurricane season. 04 was a lot better we got in a 105 then.

With having purchased two skis this fall, I don't know how many I am going to get in but it will be at least 50. I hope. :smt101

Our ships log show 205 hrs. this year w/ 86 on the dingy. Usually we log 200-250 per year, that's why we burn oil, not gas!

Annually, about 120 hours. We are moored in the Puget Sound. Hours include a number weekday runs to a local tavern (30 minutes each way), summer weekend cruises (1 hour each way), and trips to the San Juan Islands (5 hours to the Islands, 30 minute trips each day, and 5 hours home).

I am a firm believer that machines are meant to run, not sit unattended.

I'm around 140-150. Tac290 do you go to the "Tides"?

Nehalennia II: Yes, the Tides and similar trips to Gig Harbor account for about 1/4 of our hours. As a matter of fact, the signature pic is from Gig Harbor. It's an easy run from Downtown, and I only seem to be able to truly relax on the water. If I try to relax at home, I grudgingly find something that needs to be done.

Back to the topic, I have never thought of tracking hours on the dingy. Since ours is powered by an electric trolling motor, I would say no more than 10 very-silent hours.

About 150 hours on the motor this year, but that's only part of the story, since we typically spend many more hours enjoying an anchorage than we spend getting to it.

50 to 80 depending on the year. Much of that occurs during our Lake Powell trips. We do spend a lot of time on the boat at local lakes, but most of them are small, so run time is limited.

We managed to put on 110 hours in our first year and we started boating the 3rd week in June. Not bad! We spent many nights sleeping on it too. I can easily see 150 this year if not more.

I normally put north of 50 and south of 100 per year. I'm hoping to break a hundred this year with my new-to-me oil burner...time will tell....

As an aside, from what I'm reading here, the price of fuel last year didn't seem to put too much of a dent in most...

did you ever play "HI/LO" Poker? i'm going for the LO on this hand. embarrassingly, i clocked in at a whopping 38 hours last summer, which was the most i've done since the summer of 2003, when i put 51 hours on the crownline. i'll be honest, i'm one of the more frequent "users" at our marina. most people just sit on the dock behind their boats and watch the seagrass grow - or worse yet, HARDLY EVER show up at the marina at all. sometimes we sit around and play "did anyone ever see someone visit that boat?"

we did a lot of "boat-pool-anchoring for the day" last summer too. 2 boats, four families, rather than 4 boats, 4 families. (the pic below is NOT an example of this concept). i think fuel prices played a role, but our marina is not a hot-bed of activity, even when gas was "cheap."

I got 40 or so hours this past summer. That is about average for us with all of the kids activities and that bad word work.

This summer will be different. Already we have planed a trip to Charleston, Beufort and Hilton Head. I am working on getting off for the Panama get together also. Thanks for the date Rich. Then there are the day trips to the lake so we should have a good summer.

We put about 150 hours per year on the Four Suns.... I guess that's a lot but it's diesel. I have found I have far fewer maintenance issues when the boat is being used frequently.

About 60 hours per year being "land locked". We usually travel about 40 - 50 miles on the lake each weekend from May to October. Our favorite spots are 7 to 10 miles from the marina and we come back at night for sat tv watching.

Probably a couple hours a day, but I think we put nearly 70 hours our first year and not quite as many last year. Babies truncate your boating season. :smt009
