How long should a good wax job last?

I was kinda joking as I've seen references to black streaks in the past...but that was before I had them! I need to do a search and see what's up.

And you're right I should wash it more often...but its a lot of work! (i know I know, complaining to a guy with a 40+ft. Boat...no sympathy there!)

Black streaks are caused by dirt above where the streak starts. Canvas is usually the culprit, take your canvas down and give it a really good washing and you wont have streaks again until the canvas gets dirty again. Whatever wax you use has nothing to do with getting the streaks, however the wax you use determines how easy they are to remove!
