The PO did some work to the light in the forward port corner of the forward stateroom, and the valence panel in that corner has come loose. I can't see any obvious fasteners, and have pushed and shoved, but it won't stay up. Does anyone know how this panel is attached to the overhead? Clips, velcro, screws?

I can't tell you "exactly" - but can offer suggestions based on how these types of things are usually attached. It could be plastic Christmas tree fasteners... but often times it will be screwed in. When screws are use, Sea Ray attaches most of the vinyl by wrapping it around the board and stapling it. But they will leave a few areas "unwrapped and unstapled". Then, after screwing in the board, the excess vinyl is tucked up into the gap. See if you can gently pull some vinyl out - start at the gap in the corner - sometimes you can even feel the screw head behind the vinyl/foam - but there's almost always a screw in, at least, the corners.

Funny, I'm trying to get a similar panel down in my MSR. I'm sure it's fastened as Dennis described with loose vinyl tucked in afterwards as I've found other panels that way. I can't get ahold of any loose vinyl since it's jammed into the corner so tight...

I've used everything from a screwdriver (wrapped in masking tape) to needle-nose pliers to plastic putty knives and a whole bunch of other things. For example, get in deep with a thin screwdriver and slowly start to wedge it out or pull with the pliers - gently and slowly wins the game. The vinyl sometimes tends to "heat stick" over time - so just loosening the gap can help.
