not sure the proper name for the foam rubber strip that goes along the bottom of my windshield where it meets the deck to cover screws but this is for a 96 sundancer 270. How do i know what to get? i'm sure there are many sizes. can i order it by just telling make model and year of my boat or will i need to actually measure it or maybe take a chunk out and bring it somewhere? i want to replace it as i'm going to be resealing the screws in an attempt to fix a leak. Also should i be filling the gaps or spaces with caulk of some sort? which one?

Good day. Ocean Dynamics specializes in manufacturing, repairing and or refurbishing marine windows, windshields, curved/ bent glass, doors and acrylic work; as well as selling marine vinyl gaskets and accessories. We also provide digitizing, removal & installation services.

Please send us a photo of your foam rubber strip to ocean@oceandynamics.com. We more than likely carry it. Furnish us with some rough measurements too. We look forward to helping you! :)

I see this is from quite a while ago so I'm sure you have it figured out. While I'm sure the previous post could help you out, you can call sea ray for the part number and then call taylormade to get the replacement. I did our 98 290 this past year. The gasket has been improved and is now rubber instead of foam. Cost me about $150
