Hey guys, I've got a 460 with a old type TV in the staterooms, the all in one 13" type with internal VHS player. It is mounted to a separate laminate platform which is in turn screwed down to the cabinet on two visable points at the front. BUT, the unit will not slide out with those screws removed and there is no screws accessable in the back of the unit or coming up from the bottom from inside the shelves which back up to the rear of the TV cutout.

The front of the platform will rock up, but the back is secured some how and I can't figure it out.

Any help will be appreciated.

Chad:

You can call the Sea Ray factory, I think in Merrit, and they should have a procedure. They sent me pdf copies with "picutres and everthang" for the tv removal on my 380....

Chad, Call SR like Dom says, but this is how I have done it- you need to remove the fridge to get at those screws from the bottom, I did it on my 410 this way, I also had to remove a "muff" as it was held in with christmas trees. The TV didn't have enough clearance to be "lifted" without removing this trim piece. It's not that big of a job-go for it! Removing the trim pcs on my 460 is a bit frightning but once you go for it-just have some 3M trim spray glue around and it's amazing how these things can come apart. I also have a Makita right-angle cordless - it's very useful onboard for all those screws.

TV Out

We had the same problem. The TV was tight and would not come out. We pushed it back and tilted it up at the bottom to get it over the molding. The TV had a two sided sticky foam at the top that also held it in place. They went in they got to come out.
