How can I connect an Ipod to a 2005 Suburban? I have the upgraded 6 cd Bose system, with XM, and rear DVD. There are no aux inputs on the front of the head unit. There are RCA inputs on the DVD but I cannot get it to play music through.

Thanks for your suggestions in advance, MM

The way I did it on my boat is to buy a small FM transmitter, plug it into the power port, select the FM channel that you will receive it on and play. Sound quality may not be optimum but it cost me less than $30.

They sell kits where you can remove your factory head unit and add in a control module to play through your head unit and use the factory controls. I have one installed in my Jeep Commander and it works flawlessly. Took me about 30 minutes to install. Bad part, the name of the artist and song doesn't display on head unit. However, the rep said it does on some models.
Here is a link of the company. Very well made device with great installation instructions and support. http://www.icarkits.com. I was able to keep my steering wheel controls and everything. I wired it to keep my iPod in the glove box. Even charges it while the car is on. Nice unit.

+1 with Dev. I had one in my '03 GMC until I upgraded the stereo. It was well worth the price.

sometimes head units in cars will have an AUX input jack or plug in the rear of the head unit...i know it sounds crazy but true...if your head unit does have a rear AUX input jack or plug you would simply need to gain acess to the rear of the head unit which may or may not require removal of the head unit and plug in the cable....if the head unit has a rear AUX plug you will likely need and adapter cable that has the matching plug on one end to the head unit with a 3.5mm jack on the other end to plug into your ipod.....the manufacturer of the head unit should be able to tell you if there are any AUX inputs......
