How bad are soft spots on a foredeck? Should I walk away?

Should I walk?

I would only consider a boat needing mechanical refurbishment. Parts changing is more predictable. I have done some structural/fiberglass work. No interest anymore - it is Pandora’s Box. Run as fast as you can.

I would have to see multiple reviews before trying, but it does look interesting. If it does work as stated then you could save a lot of money.
I used it on my swim platform. I had what looked/felt like about a 20" round spot that was completely rotted and a few other spots here and there. It did harden it up for sure but it was messy and I ran out. I just did it this spring. I still have a few soft spots because I ran out and I was working by myself so couldn't feel for spots and work the gun at the same time. I also noticed more cracks than I was comfortable with fixing so had made the decision to just order a new platform but they were shut down due to COVID so maybe next spring. I would say it's a viable solution but be sure to have help and lots of cleanup stuff ready.
