How Accurate is the Information You Receive Here?

This post reminds me of my favorite post on SRO.com -- the one about "Please don't hijack posts" and everyone who responded hijacked the thread in their own hilarious way. I have said it before that I laughed almost till I cried that night . . .

This post is similar although so every much more serious. It really showed the individual personality of each of you in your responses and it was just interesting to read start to finish in one sitting -- I just wanted to say that you all really tried to behave yourself and I ALWAYS appreciate it.

Lastly, my thoughts:

--Don't type in email what you wouldn't say to someone in person.
--Give yourself a pat on the back for being part of one of the classiest forums; and
--Take the lighter side of these discussions -- you all can be really funny and honestly I enjoy that so much!

Cheers, Kathy

We have just gone through several weeks here on CSR with a pretty active "industry professional" where there were several posts that were inaccurate or just plain wrong.

If the methods in at least 2 of the procedures are followed, you very likely could have a significant repair facing you in the future. So, I'm wondering if any of you ever attempt to verify the accuracy of the information you get here and if you do, how do you do it?

It's an excellent point that Frank raises - a reminder to us that this is a forum for sharing ideas and not necessarily facts. I doubt that Frank will reveal the posts in question. In my opinion the answer to this question lies in lively debate and discussion on each thread. Challenge opinions if you don't agree and offer constructive alternatives. Post more and let your ideas be known, especially when you disagree with other posts..

This is a great site and I believe that the vast majority are here to learn and to assist others.
Cheers,
Warren

Talk about instilling paranoia at the first read. I'm glad I've been too bust working to post.

FW, keep up the good work!

Just for the record even if I were 60 I would still not tell you how to operate your boat, only an idiot would

I didn't realize you had sarcasm in you Wesley

Amazing what putting a "t" into a word instead of a "y" will do to the meaning of a sentence.
