Recently had my ignition go out and need to replace on a 2008 searay 185 sport. Once replaced it went from displaying my hours (sub 100) to displaying “error,” from what I was told it’s a common issue but the mechanic didn’t know of a way to revert it back to the hours. Has anyone else ran into this issue, and were you able to fix the display?

What part of the "ignition" was replaced?
Definitely NOT a common problem. Not to say it can't happen, but I've never seen that... and I see a LOT of boats. Along with Bill's question can we assume this is a fuel injected engine? I would start by checking all connections that were touched during whatever it was that was worked on. It may just be that something wasn't reconnected.
