OK, I'll try to keep this short: Upon Survey of my 90 350 Sundancer it was noted the horns were inoperative. While on the boat under shrink wrap Thursday I inspected the horns. 2 wires were disconnected and the wires were extremely brittle. I have a new set of horns, but concerned about tracing the wires from inside to run new lines. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Is it an electric horn or air horn? One thing to consider is to use a bottled air horn in the interim.

Mine do not work either. They are air horns. The problem is that the horns need to be rebuilt and they are a bitch to get to.

A lot of people just install new air horn on the arch.

I have a new set of horns that I was going to install on my 300WE. They are electric. I want to stay away from mounting anything else on the arch resides the radar dome, GPS antenna and spreader lights, which is the limit for the convenience of shrink wrapping.

I had to replace mine on my 86 300 Weekender the wires I just cut them back 3/8 to good wire been fine for last couple years now. The wires should be fine may be able to even pull a extra inch out of holes some times.

I was hoping to undo some panels in the salon to trace the wires. The wires on the deck are extremely brittle
