*Sigh* what a shame, good guy all around. For those that dont know, I play ice hockey every Thursday night, its a group of guys, all former div 1 and junior players, very high level of skill (we play full contact). It is a private rent out we have had for 5 years, group of 25 or so guys (usually around 18 show up any given week) whoa re full time paid members, and a waiting list of subs of around 15 guys that are part timers when we call and need them.

This friend of mine Munsor is a skilled player, and is Muslim. He is a part timer, but is one of the ones we call often as he really is a nice guy and funt o play with/against because he is very fast (now I know why!) After the games in the summer (or whenever it isnt deathly cold out) we BBQ after the games. Munsor doesnt eat hot dogs, wont drink beer etc...but selling heroin apparently ok...

BRIDGEPORT — A city man, who police said was a major supplier of heroin and crack cocaine in the area, was arrested today.
Munsor Abdullah, 26, of Beechwood Avenue, was arrested following a joint operation by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency, local police and Darien police.
He was charged with five counts of selling narcotics, along with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, operation of a drug factory and first-degree reckless endangerment.
Abdullah was being held in lieu of $350,000 bond.
The suspect was arrested after officers in the three law-enforcement agencies met April 4 to arrange to purchase heroin from him. Using an undercover officer, the task force arranged to purchase the drugs Abdullah on Norman Street, police said. Abdullah sold the undercover officer 10 bags of heroin for $85. A short time later police said Abdullah arranged to make another sale of the drug to an officer. This time police said the defendant sold the undercover officer 20 bags of heroin for $100.
On May 6, May 16 and May 29, police said the undercover officer arranged to make two more purchases of heroin from Abdullah of 250 bags of heroin.
On June 25, police said they raided Abdullah's apartment on Beechwood Avenue and seized cash, a cardboard box containing empty glassine bags and two 42-inch flat-screen televisions.

Two 42" TVs?? WTF does that have to do with dealing crack and heroin? Seems irrelevant to the story. Interesting that they didn't find any crack or heroin, maybe it's all hidden in the TVs...

Full contact hockey how old are you? If not getting paid not worth it but I guess he was.

Unfortunately/fortunately, they can seize any assets they feel were the result of money from trafficking.

Since he did not have a verifiable job for the last 2 years...

39, and I have been playing since I was 7. Played juniors and was on NY state hs champ St Anthony's. Was taught to power skate by Barbara Williams who was the Islanders skating coach for years.

Full contact is safe when all players are at a certain skill level. I have had stitches and broken a knee cap playing non check with less skilled players

That sucks... just goes to show, you have no idea who a person "really" is.

"Hockey player friend of mine busted for heroin" Wow, what do you post about your enemys??

I just report the news, I dont make it. Still a friend of mine though, even with this crime. TO me, drugs are a user choice, and I dont feel that a dealer should be treated he same as someone who physically harms another person with violence.

My enemies, by the way, dont really have much to say

I have heard a report that some muslims are financing terrorist rings with drug sales. You gotta pick some better friends.

which lends itelf to physically harming others.. it all comes full circle from producer to seller to user, it all harms society and violence to others inevitably finds its way into that circle at some point

by no means a judgement on you..... hope your friend gets the help he obviously needs

Yeah, like 20 years or so. On the other hand, what's the Sharia penalty for drug sales? Probably death considering the penalty for alcohol.

It might begin as a choice but it ends with addiction. The addicts don't go out and pick their drug of choice from the drug tree. They get it from someone.

A local FBI guy told me almost all bank robberies are committed by addicts trying to feed their addiction.

I think *all* the boat salesmen should be arrested.

 I think you may be listening to the news a bit too much. COuld it be he just happens to be muslim and is involved in something 50 other people of other races and religions are involved in Bridgeport?

Thanks...he is a nice guy, definitely not a user of any kind. From what I was told from others, he was doing this because "it was easy".

If he needs help in any respect, it is learning that taking "the easy way" usually leads down a troubled road.

Most on this board are fairly conservative. If he really is a drug dealer, why is anyone giving him any slack? Is it just because he is a "nice guy?"

I say go with the Muslim punishment.

Three thoughts come to mind:

First: Muslim has nothing to do with it, would you say my friend who happens to be a Baptist, got busted today for being a drug dealer.

Second: If he is guilty of selling he will be held to the law of the land and rightfully so; there is no such thing as easy road in life.

Third: No idea what this has to do with boating.

Give me credit I stayed out of this for several days but just can not believe it is still getting posts. Which I probably did not just help my cause. Oh well there are my thoughts.
