Nine times out of ten I end up hitching my trailer by myself .It would be nice to have an extra set of eyes. Has anyone tired any of the hitch cameras on the market.

I bought a backup camera for my Silverado on Amazon for under $50 and its amazing how much it helps. I backup one time now until the ball is under the coupler and get out to lower the trailer onto the ball.

I have a camera on my 2013 F150. I use it all the time to back up and hitch to the boat and camper. I can now line it up first try. I would definitely recommend it.

Sorry....I was expressing my satisfaction with my built in camera, but you are looking for suggestions on an aftermarket. My only comment to that: although there is a little more labor involved, try to stay with hard wiring. I recently had an aftermarket camera (forgot the brand) that was Bluetooth, but the screen was always fuzzy.

Good luck.....

I have a Swift Hitch and it is EXELLENT!

What I like is it is always tucked away, not cluttering my dash, and clean. My friends with aftermarket installed cameras often have to clean the lens before they can see and the monitor clutters up the cabin. In my set up it magnetically sticks to the wiper arm on the Suburban and provides the view I set it to show.

I have one on my 2015 F250 I works great. Brings that ball right under the trailer. Factory installed.

I have a swift hitch as well and can't use it with my truck. Everything is great, good clear picture on the screen until I start the truck. Then the truck starts scanning for bluetooth devices and guess what the swift hitch uses the same frequencies. Picture on the screen has so much noise on it that it is useless.
Don't get a swift hitch if your truck has bluetooth.

Can't you turn off the Bluetooth scan to hook up?

Maybe, but that would involve reading the user manual LOL. It's easier just to rant about it and say they are crap :)

Friend of mine would stand his fishing pole up, as vertical as possible, leaning against the trailer tongue. Just an inexpensive, low tech idea.

You could always go low tech and get the magnetic tennis ball hitch aligners.

I am coming to party on this late but I have the iball camera system and it is GREAT!. It is a little pricy at $150.00 (Amazon). But it is easy to use and it works very well. Best 150 bucks I have spent for boating in a while. Goggle iball camera
